ABOUT AMO STUDIO

From one embroidery machine to a small production studio.

AMO STUDIO started in 2022, when Lily (maiphuongmayman) bought her first Brother single-needle embroidery machine. At first, we simply made things for ourselves. Evelyn (baoboii) began drawing and digitizing embroidery files, turning our ideas into designs that could actually be produced on a machine.

We quickly realised a good drawing does not automatically make a good embroidered product — so from the very beginning we focused on something simple: it is not enough to make the machine run, the final product has to look good.

Over time, AMO evolved into a small production studio, where we develop, design, digitize, produce and finish most of our products ourselves.

THREE PEOPLE, THREE ROLES

AMO is run by three people.

Each of us is responsible for a different part of the process.

LINLIN

linhlalunglaloi

Production

Responsible for physical product production. From embroidery and production to finishing and checking the final pieces before they leave the studio, Linlin handles much of the hands-on work behind our physical products.

LILY

maiphuongmayman

Operations

Runs AMO's day-to-day operations — product management, orders and planning, as well as the smallest jobs, from trimming loose threads to packing orders. Running the studio doesn't mean staying away from production: if something needs doing, there's a good chance Lily is doing it.

EVELYN

baoboii

Design & digitizing

Responsible for embroidery digitization and design, turning ideas and artwork into designs that can become real embroidered products. She also handles AMO's website, systems, imagery and most of the digital side of the studio.

Linlin makes the products. Evelyn builds the designs. Lily keeps everything running.

WHAT WE MAKE

Two main directions.

After years of experimenting with embroidery files, apparel and anime and manga-inspired products, AMO now focuses on two main directions: travel patches and custom embroidery.

TRAVEL PATCHES

Places worth bringing home.

Travel patches are products we develop entirely from our own ideas. We look for places, landmarks, symbols and visual elements with a strong sense of identity, then turn them into embroidery designs with an AMO approach.

For us it is not simply about putting a landmark on a patch — we want each design to have a strong composition, be instantly recognizable, and feel like something you would actually want to bring home from a trip.

CUSTOM PET EMBROIDERY

The area we invest in most.

There are plenty of beautiful custom pet products on the market, and some are made to an exceptionally high standard — but that level of finish often comes with a significantly higher price. We wanted to offer another option.

We don't want a custom product to simply be “an embroidered picture of your pet.” When you hold an AMO piece in your hands, we want the difference to be visible in the finish — from the design and level of detail to the final product itself.

A product with the finish you'd expect from a higher-priced piece — without the higher price tag.

QUALITY THAT MAKES SENSE

Not the cheapest. Not the most expensive.

We are not trying to be the cheapest custom pet option on the market, and we don't believe a product needs an inflated price tag to justify calling itself premium. What matters to us is the value you actually receive.

Put an AMO piece next to products in a higher price range, and we want you to see a similar level of attention to detail and finish — without necessarily paying more for it.

Not the cheapest. Not the most expensive. Just exceptionally good quality for the price.

MADE BY AMO

We keep most of the process in-house.

From the initial concept to the finished product, we are directly involved in the key stages of making it — giving us greater control over the design, quality and final finish of what we produce.

And that is how we want to keep building AMO:

Design better. Make better. Keep it fun.
