Gifts for Book Lovers: Embroidered Sweatshirts and Hats for Readers
Buying a book for a serious reader is risky: they have probably read it, own it or have strong opinions about it. Buying something about reading is much safer. Our new bookish collection is for the people who carry a paperback "just in case", host the book club and have a to-be-read pile that is mostly decorative. Here are our favourites.
- Embroidered, not printed. Every design is stitched in thread in our studio in Saigon, Vietnam.
- Delivery: about 10–20 days to the US and about 15–25 days to Europe, the UK and other countries, counted from your order and including production.
- Dad hats are 100% cotton with an adjustable strap. Sweatshirts are 65% cotton / 35% polyester crewnecks in sizes S–2XL.
Book club sweatshirts
A matching sweatshirt is the easiest way to turn a book club into a team. Each design has its own mascot (a cat, a fox, a floral teacup or a midnight theme), so members can pick their own and still look like they belong together.

For the reader with opinions
Some readers want everyone to know exactly what kind of reader they are. These text designs are the in-jokes of the reading world: the plot twist that ruined a week, the e-reader packed for a two-hour trip and the narrator nobody should have trusted. Unreliable Narrator comes in two lettering styles, stitched tone-on-tone for a subtle look.

Bookish text sweatshirts
Cosy, illustrated and a little bit whimsical
For the cottagecore reader, these lean on illustration over text: a goose carrying a stack of books "on my way to read my silly little stories", a frog among mushrooms with "Read Books Stay Weird", and a row of books in autumn colours.

Dad hats for readers
Not everyone wants a big statement. A small embroidered phrase on a cotton dad hat is a quieter nod to the hobby, and it works for readers of every age.

Gift ideas by occasion
- Book club Secret Santa: a reading hat is easy to wrap and needs no size.
- Book club anniversary: one book club sweatshirt per member, each picking their own mascot.
- The reader who has everything: pair a text sweatshirt with the next book in the series they are reading.
Bookish sweatshirts and hats, embroidered rather than printed so they last as long as a good paperback.
